To change the title of a post type, please do the following:
Go to Content >> Edit Post Settings
Find the post type that needs to be renamed and click on Edit, for this, we are going to use the Classified Post Type as an example.
Post Type Name
In the General Settings Tab (Add an unique name for the post):
URL Permalink
Update the URL to match the name:
Profile Page Tab Title
Profile Page Design Tab (This is the title that is going to show up on the Member's Profile):
Search Results Page Title
Search Results Design (This title is going to appear when accessing the actual search results visible to the visitors and other members)
Lastly, click on Save Changes.
Confirm Changes
When Saving the Post Type, a message will display to confirm this change: "The URL of this Post Type is being changed from classifieds to brilliant-classifieds. This action will also update the slug URL of all associated posts."
This means that already created posts showing under the URL /classifieds now are going to display under /brilliant-classiffieds.
Make sure to always refresh the cache of the website to see the changes: Refreshing Live Site
Changed Title and URL
The new Title and URL will be automatically updated and display on the front end.
