Adding Custom Content to the Homepage Hero Section

To learn how to call a custom search module widget on a homepage as Custom Homepage Content, follow these steps:

1. Remove the search module or select the option to add a Hero Message with button Links:

- To remove the search module navigate to the Settings >> Design Settings >> Homepage Tab >> Search Box / Call to Action:

On Homepage Search Box Call to Action, select the Call to Action as "Hide Search Module / Call to Action":

This example shows what a homepage looks like when using the Display Buttons Links option:

2. Call the preferred search filter widget on the homepage.

- Search the preferred widget by navigating to Toolbox - Widget Manager and copy its short code for future usage:

- Navigate to My Content >> Web Page Builder >> Click "Edit" on Homepage:

- Paste the shortcode copied earlier to the Page Content and Save:

3. Add the custom search module to the Homepage:

-Navigate to  Settings >> Design Settings >> Homepage Tab >> Enable Additional Sections >> Select Content to Display

- In Select Content to Display, select Custom Homepage Content on a preferred Section:

How to Add Custom Content Above or Below the Hero Section:

We created these two empty widgets into the homepage hero code:

1. Bootstrap Theme - Homepage Search - Extra Content Above
   
2. Bootstrap Theme - Homepage Search - Extra Content Below

These widgets allow users to easily add content directly above and below homepage search modules without customizing other important widgets:

Once the custom content is saved into the widget:

The content will display in the corresponding placements in the hero section:
