When performing multiple edits to member's URL structure, changing company name or address information. The system will automatically create a redirect so that any of the old links will still redirect to the correct page.

Adding 301 Redirects

Navigate to Developer Hub >> 301 Redirects:

  1. Click on the “New Redirect Rule” button on the top right of the screen:
  2. In the “Source URL (Current Page)” column, enter the URL of the page to create a redirect for and in the “Redirect URL (New Page)” column, enter the new page that the old URL to redirect to.
Note: Source URL can be from any online website, the Redirect URL can be only to the Brilliant Directories site.

For example, in order to forward the page http://www.your-domain.com/old-page to http://www.your-domain.com/new-page enter old-page into the “Old Page” column and enter new-page into the “Redirect to” column.
Similarly, to add a redirect for a page that is inside of a folder on the directory (http://www.your-domain.com/directory/old-page) then don't add the domain before entering the relative URL of the page to redirect.
  3.  If necessary add a note as a reminder of what the 301 redirect rule is for:

Find Unused Redirects

This button checks 301 destination URLs and see which ones link to 404 pages so that they can be removed from the site:

It will display all of the unused redirects after the page reloads:
